SIX SCENTS

After my last closet purge, four people messaged me upon receiving items they had purchased on my Depop to ask what perfume I wear.  Not creepy at all. I love smelling good and being told I smell good and if you have ever hugged me and mentioned how good I smell, it could be because of any one of the following fragrances.

Escentric Molecules Molecule 01, which apparently isn’t a fragrance per se but an aromachemical named Iso-E Super which is used as a base for many fragrances. Some people say it has no scent of its own, that it just brings out one’s natural pheromones. But I think it smells a bit like babies and probably heaven. My husband wears it too, and people always mention how good we smell.  It may be his pheromones you’re digging, or it could be mine.

Solutio by Sigil. It is unfamiliar and mysterious to me and I like that I can’t quite peg the notes. My husband says it reminds him of Catholic church smell. He and I wear it for special occasions. But we try to make everyday a special occasion, so we spritz it on pretty regularly.

Saya Argan Body Oil. This one is new to me and I’m in love. I either apply it on it’s own or mix it with an unscented lotion to get a little more mileage out of it. You can sense the quality of the organic ingredients in its deep, warm and sensuous aroma.

Kelly Maria Francis Orb Mist. I cleanse my aura with this reiki-infused mist as a little ritual I do for myself everyday. I also use it as a linen and room spray.  It is made with so many of my favorite fragrances - coffee bean, rose geranium, cardamom, rosemary, and palo santo. Very grounding and made with sustainably farmed organic oils and produced carefully in small batches.

Noto Basil Yarrow Mist. I spray this multi-use mist on my face, head and neck to invigorate my senses, cool down on a hot day, freshen up my hair between washes and make my makeup more glowy. It smells like fresh medicinal herbs and black licorice.

But in addition to all of these wonderful fragrances, the one my Depop customers were so taken by they wrote to ask me about it, is Stoneworks Oak Tree scented laundry pods by Grab Green. It is comforting and woodsy and made with an earth-friendly formula including essential oils of lavandin, cinnamon, geranium, cedarwood and clove. I buy mine from my favorite online market, Thrive.
